What’s New With Combobulate?

We have decided to release the newest issue of Combobulate on June 6th - The Hard Work Issue. We are currently taking submissions at info@combomag.com . The New Life issue has reached over 1 million views and with the support of you our next issue will double this number.

You will see some familiar artists along with new ones. I hope you enjoy!

Hey #creatives- Want to be a part of Combobulate Magazine ?

We are currently taking submissions for our “Hard Work” Issue - Scheduled for Release June 6th. Deadline May 28th.

Remember we feature People, Places and Things.

People Submissions: We accept portrait/editorial series of people along with an interview or bio of the person. The person should be someone who represents the creative lifestyle in some way. They can be a dancer, artist, painter, musician, photographer, actor, inventor, etc. The more background and story you give on this person the more chance of success you’ll have in being chosen.

Places Submissions: We are looking for awesome places either landscape, architecture, or interiors. Tell us a story. Be creative. We want to see what you come up with.

Things Submissions: We are looking for unique still life, table top, product series, that focus on an item rather than a person. We are open to artistic stories of any medium. Have a really cool stapler, and want to see it in a variety of places? We will accept that too. Show us your idea, and move us in some way.

We accept/publish fashion stories and they are posted in the Things category.

Combobulate ... What?

So what is Combobulate Magazine, besides slightly difficult to say? Well, it is an online publication. (with a printed annual) I get it, there are a lot of us out there. So why are we different? Well, firstly we cater specifically to the creative unprofessional. We focus around the lifestyle of the young, creative-professional. That is … People, Places, and Things which are influential to making your life what it is. We hope to present topics that inspire you to create, and create more. So where is our magazine located? Technically we are based out of New York, however, our digital platform makes us Global. That’s neat. Our board is made up of creative people who understand the daily life of a creative, and want to share things that make us happy. Our hope is that those things we can share will make you happy as well.

People: We feature people who inspire us in someway to become more creative. This will include artists, designers, charity, actors, and the like. If there is someone who is doing something amazing, we want our audience to hear about it!

Places: We feature places that have a creative flare and spark to them. Perhaps the building itself is creatively designed. Maybe it just contains awesome art inside. Maybe it has no buildings at all. Whatever the case, we want to share places with you that will get you excited about going outside (or in.)

Things: We feature things (repetitive much?) that make us happy. We realize this is a large category, and will generally be broken down into subcategories inside each of the issues.
